To wonder what they've done with the dog?

I posted a thread yesterday about reporting my neighbours. I told their landlord and she was so angry to find out they had been smoking in her house and that the dog has been barking all night she wants them out of her house.

She's obviously had a word but now we haven't heard the dog once he normally barks for ages and throughout the night.

So you have helped make your neighbours homeless and now you care what has happened to the dog....well done OP 👍 I hope the result makes you happy.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 26/02/2019 09:51

Wow you reported them and now your concerned

DoneLikeAKipper · 26/02/2019 09:53

I’m not sure what the problem is, isn’t this what you wanted? Where was the dog barking at night - outside, in another room of the house? It’s quite possible they have it in their bedroom at night now.

Gosh you sound a lovely and compassionate person. I could understand the dog being a nuisance but why ffs would you report someone for having a fag indoors. You're not the landlord so what didot matter to you?

As for the dog, pop onto fb and look at your local spotted page, maybe someone has found an abandoned dog this morning...

mrsswearalot · 26/02/2019 10:04

Yes I am to be honest at least I haven't got to smell weed in my bathroom or my sons bedroom anymore.
They don't answer the door they leave the dog barking all day and night. I had no choice! the estate agents are meant to visiting the week but now I'm wondering if they got rid of the dog or something.

@DoneLikeAKipper their bedroom is attached to ours so I would of heard him.
The house has gone completely silent.

@QuirkyQuark I didn't her friend went round to get something for her and they hid the dog and she could smell fags. I told the landlord about the weed coming into our house and the dog.

Well you got what you wanted so why bother posting this thread?
I doubt you give a damn about the dog...maybe you just wanted to gloat.

Charlieiscool · 26/02/2019 10:11

You did the right thing OP. The dog will be no worse off now wherever it is.

averystrangeweek · 26/02/2019 10:13

Some charming replies on here - the OP has complained about a nuisance neighbour, and was perfectly entitled to do that. All she is concerned about now is the welfare of an innocent animal, and you lot are laying into her? Horrible.

Nesssie · 26/02/2019 10:15

I was on your previous post and people need to read that before commenting things like So you have helped make your neighbours homeless Hmm

They've probably shipped him off in anticipation of a visit from the landlord/estate agent. Don't be surprised if he suddenly appears again in a few days!

At least the very worse you'll have to deal with them is up til June. Fingers crossed the LL can get them out before for breach of tenancy.

DoneLikeAKipper · 26/02/2019 10:16

@QuirkyQuark, the op said in their previous thread that they were smoking weed, and the smell was in their house - including their child’s bedroom. As someone who lives next door to heavy weed smokers, the smell in your home is disgusting believe me, heavy and sickly. The op had several complaints, quite frankly why should anyone put up with nuisance neighbours? Would you be happy listening to a dog bark all night, every night?

@mrsswearalot, they may have gone elsewhere, maybe taken the dog to a friends. I know someone who rehomed a dog very quickly when they were reported to their landlord (they were in breech of their contract).

I hope the dog is ok, obviously no one wants harm to come to the animal, not even the pissed off landlord I’m sure. That doesn’t mean you had to put up with everything you posted yesterday.

CosmicCanary · 26/02/2019 10:22

I read the other thread.
Still does not explain why the OP decided to start a whole new one just to ask about a dog she could not careless about. Why not just update the original thread?

mrsswearalot · 26/02/2019 10:24

Wasn't gloating was just wondering where he's gone as it's very odd they've only been here a month and it's been going on since then.

Yeah I'm guessing they've sent him somewhere and the agents are visiting today.

Why do people think it is acceptable to have a dog and let it bark all day and night when they have close neighbours around who it will obviously affect?

Dogs bark, I know, I have one but to let it go on barking is not right.

Maybe you can ask the landlord when he has visited?

ohtheholidays · 26/02/2019 10:49

They've more than likely given the Dog to a friend of family member to look after.

I'm not surprised you reported them I would not tolerate the smell of that garbage coming into my house let alone one of my DC's rooms.

SpringForEver · 26/02/2019 11:32

If he is lucky they will have tied him to the gate of a decent rescue so he can get a drug free home.

If not he has probably been driven somewhere and thrown out of the car.

He might be back in a few days though.
