Period Pants for teens

I can feel my DD is going to have her first period soon. I have been seeing this period pants , WUKA or something for a while. Has anyone tried it? What do they think of it?
DD is going to be 11 soon, I just want to make her prepared when time comes.

I have splashed out and bought a pair of modibodi knickers for my dd in the same position to see how they suit. She's also up for cloth pads so I have bought a couple and found some patterns to customise for her.
Precious Stars Pads on YouTube has some excellent no nonsense videos on this.
Obviously if she prefers disposables or tampons that will be fine too. Her choice.
