If you can handle the excitement I'm in the market for an upgrade Grin
I'm ill so wear a Day Robe every day (not a dressing gown, we all know only lazy slatterns wear their dressing gown all day) and I really want a lovely one.

Anyone seen or bought a beautiful dressing gown Day Robe anywhere or can point me to something nice and luxurious please?

No ideas here but Flowers for you.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 25/02/2019 13:06

Is this like a house coat?
I always wanted a cashmere one from the white company.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 25/02/2019 13:08

www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Short-Lightweight-Velour-Robe/p/SLCVO?swatch=Silver+Grey They have various kinds but I can't see the cashmere one :(

I have a black velvet one with satin trim, bought from M&S in the 80s. It's decadent and totally over the top, even without the shoulder pads. (removed in the 90s)
Not a useful addition to the thread I realise, but I wanted to share my love of a good Day Robe. Grin

Thank you Notsure Smile

House coat is dangerously close to tabbard Popping it gives the impression I may be willing to do housework. I don't want to risk anyone thinking I'm up for hoovering.
Now a cashmere Day Robe sounds like my jam.
I could swish elegantly in a cashmere one.
There are loads on Amazon but they are all bog standard and nothing special.

H&M do linen ones which I love the look of, although cashmere sounds a lot more decadent

EnidButton · 25/02/2019 14:17

I like those ones that are maps of Paris or London. I'll try to find one...

EnidButton · 25/02/2019 14:20

They're by One Hundred Stars withinreason.co.uk/products/one-hundred-stars-venice-dressing-gown?variant=15864134500439&utm_campaign=gs-2018-12-07&utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8vif2InX4AIVzbftCh2_SALBEAQYAyABEgKVI_D_BwE
This is a Venice one. They're very floaty in real life so not for keeping warm. I think Nigella wafted into her kitchen in one, to knock up something fancy at 2am, on her tv show. I like the Paris one.

PCohle · 25/02/2019 14:24

I bloody love the sound of a day robe.

MrsPnut · 25/02/2019 14:31

I've got a cashmere robe, it's just right for lounging around in and is lovely and warm over my pyjamas.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 25/02/2019 14:49

Hi OP I have an M & S one from the Rosie Autograph range. It's so soft and luxurious and if you hang it up somewhere warm after washing it dries quickly too.

You absolutely should get a really nice robe (or two) if you will be spending lots of time in them.

I hope you get better soon Thanks

Tomtontom · 25/02/2019 14:57

I have two cashmere robes, but I very proudly call them dressing gowns even when I do wear them all day! I'm slowly introducing the newer one but I just can't get rid of the old one. They are amazing but obviously very warm. I have a lighter floaty number for the summer, another M&S number from the 90s!

I did notice M&S have got some nice lighter ones in for this summer? In the Rosie range, around £35.

EnidButton · 25/02/2019 16:59

Does cashmere get very bubbly though? For people who need to sit or lay down a lot in the day?

Latest correction ever. Blush

Toast usually have nice robes - there's nothing really special at the moment, but they're between seasons.

TheQueef · 03/03/2019 11:35

I am swanning about in a hundred stars Delft robe £70 Shock I blame you all.
Thank God I couldn't find a cashmere one.

Thank you all Flowers I love it and Delft is my absolute favourite.
