Is it possible to change the fur on a hood?

I love my winter coat for its warmth and comfort but i loathe the fur around the hood. It snaps off but i do find it serves a purpose. Does anyone know how i could find the manufacturer and see if they've got alternatives?

Visit a local alteration place and ask them. I know the dressmakers near me would do this sort of thing.

I'd wondered about that. But I'm in a small village, I've used my local dressmaker before I'm not find of her work. Wondered if i could buy something on line.

I feel like I have seen replacement fur edging on amazon or eBay - maybe have a look

Thanks chick, i had an initial look on Amazon, the fur is available but not the whole part. I was hoping someone might have some idea how to identify a manufacturer. I could buy the fur and do or myself. I'm just not really wanting to!

It sounds unlikely the manufacturer would have lots of different types of fur just the right size for your hood sitting around.
