Especially if you wanted to watch them again and again?

Some of mine were:
Mary Poppins: I watched it recently, still as wonderful and whimsical as ever. I saw it so many times as a child.
Wizard of Oz.
Home Alone.
Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory (Gene Wilder).
Clue - I loved its wit, despite its murderous nature!

Labyrinth
Return to Oz
Grease 2
The Brave Little Toaster
The Foxes (It's not called that, just what I called it, a Scottish animated film about foxes living on a farm owned by nasty people).
The Worst Witch (If it was on right now I'd be able to quote at least 90% of that film)

I was a child of the early 70s so pre videos, so you got to see a film once at the cinema and then maybe again if it was screened on tv later if you were lucky.

My all-time favourite film of my childhood was definitely the animated 101 Dalmations.

More than 30 years later, my toddler dd was obsessed with this film. She would have watched it every day! When we went on holiday we had to take it with us. It was one of those children's films I was happy to sit down and watch almost any time as an adult.
