Is £157 per night expensive for the lake district?

Group of us going, it's for a hotel right near Windermere, in Bowness.
Just wondered if people who go regularly can say whether it seems standard or not?
It's for April, week before the easter holidays.

I’ve spent a lot more on a hotel in that area... surely a lot depends on the hotel itself?! If it’s luxury spa hotel I’d say you’ve found a bargain. If it’s a budget b&b then it’s probably a bit steep.

EvaHarknessRose · 24/02/2019 17:52

Standard for a hotel in a tourist area in the holidays I should think - but you could search for similar to check? Being close to the lake will be a premium.

Onehellofaride · 24/02/2019 17:53

Is that for your room and breakfast?

Only if it’s too much for you. We spent more but could have got alternative hotel for less.

I’ve got a gorgeous air bnb for £50 a night in April in northern lakes. Depends where, northern lakes does tend to be cheaper

VictoriaBun · 24/02/2019 18:01

Name the hotel ?

Dizzylin · 24/02/2019 18:03

Is that for the room or per person? If for the room I'd say it's about standard in Bowness/Windermere. We've paid a lot more in the past.

AguerosAngel · 24/02/2019 18:39

Depends which hotel it is....

Aberforthsgoat · 24/02/2019 18:57

It’s the Laura Ashley belsfield on lake Windermere and it’s per room including breakfast, per night

The Belsfield is nice. It's on the outskirts.

Treat yourself to Afternoon tea as well.
