Where’s best to sell these gold items?

I have three 24 carat picture frames and together they’re worth just under £1000. I want to sell them but don’t know where to go. Any ideas would be welcome. (I don’t like eBay much)!

Take them to a reputable jewellery shop that also deals/sells second had items.
Better price I think

Ok. Will have a look and see where I can go. Thanks

Might not be relevant if the value of the picture frames is in the design, rather than the actual gold, if you know what I mean, but Moneysavingexpert has a good section on selling gold for the best price:

Barbara has a good point. It depends on if they are being sold due to the items value through likability or if the worth is through their gold value.

First instance would be an antique shop or jeweller or auction house etc.

Second depends on who at the time is offering the highest good price.

I'd go to an auctioneer.

Also, if £1000 is their insurance value, you'll get nothing close to that if you sell them.
Unless they are some fancy designer with a stable, established resale value, you should figure on not much more than scrap rate per ounce.

They are really pretty, they have crystals in them too. I did consider auctioning them but I’ll see what the jewellers say first. I’d be happy with £450 really, enough to just finish off the kitchen. I’d much rather have a nice kitchen than three picture frames!
