Thomas the Tank knickers!

Anyone know where I can get girls Thomas underwear? I cannot find them, dd absolutely loves Thomas and I'm about to start potty training. All seems to be my little pony or peppa and she doesn't know those characters.

I thought it would be a nice incentive to have Thomas on them as she'll do anything for a thomas theme item!

Just use boys ones?

My daughter loves it too.

There's a seller on FB called Creasefree Clothes who might be able to make these for you. I'm saying might because licensing/copyright issues could come into play for some fabrics, but you never know unless you ask.

Had the same problem with dd2. I bought boys as no where does girls!!

They have that wrinkly elastic all round though and kind of space for a willy?! I mean I've never bought boys underwear before, ds is only 7 months so I guess I could just do that..

I agree, just buy the boys ones, there's not much difference in shape at that age.

MyDcAreMarvel · 23/02/2019 22:05

I am assuming your dd is 2/3 how big do you think little boys willies are at that age, there really isn’t extra space Grin

00100001 · 23/02/2019 22:07

Yy to "boys" pants.

Who is going to see her pants that would care ? Confused

TidaQuel · 23/02/2019 22:07

Could you buy some iron on transfers and add to plain knickers?

VanillaSugarr · 23/02/2019 22:07

It’s Thomas The Tank ENGINE Angry

drspouse · 23/02/2019 22:10

My DD wears boys' briefs (Paw Patrol) and trunks (hand me downs) and they fit just fine. They are just more generous because girls aged 3 really need skimpy pants according to the shops.

3luckystars · 23/02/2019 22:11

Isnt it absolutely outrageous how many trains there are on such a small island like sodor though. Granted there is a quarry, but there is no way that many passenger trains would be needed.

CakeNinja · 23/02/2019 22:15

I used to buy my dd Thomas knickers from mothercare.
Thomas was her first ‘boyfriend’ although she looks at me murderously when I casually bring it up now Grin

3luckystars · 23/02/2019 22:34

Thr fat controller is definitely running the whole island. He is involved in everything.
I feel he is up to something, because it looks to me like a very inefficient company. There are so many trains, and there is a lot of dossing going on.

Maybe he is so wealthy that he is just running it as a hobby? Or else he is getting grants.

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 23/02/2019 22:58

They don't look that different from girls ones(shape and space at least)

MyKingdomForBrie · 24/02/2019 20:31

Thanks everyone, looks like boys pants it is! And umm, apologies @vanillasugarr?! I thought I was being generous in giving him more than just the usual 'Thomas' in our household!

Just as an aside, there's a school of thought around potty training that knickers/underpants are a no no until they are actually potty trained. Apparently they feel too much like wearing a nappy and can slow the whole job down.

Something to consider perhaps before you buy?

drspouse · 24/02/2019 20:41

She'll need them eventually though!

DukeOfEarlGrey · 25/02/2019 00:14

Definitely buy the boys’ ones. I remember being about 7 and desperately wanting Dennis the Menace pants (to go with my Dennis the Menace everything else) but they only mad boys’ ones and my mum wouldn’t let me have boys’ pants. A part of me still holds it against her 😂

Camomila · 25/02/2019 07:57

DS has boys thomas briefs from M&S. There's no 'willy space', they are just like knickers but with a thick top elastic like men's pants do.

BertieBotts · 25/02/2019 07:59

Boys pants are better for toilet training anyway, because they tend to contain small accidents a bit better whereas girls ones are very flimsy and thin material.

FancyPantsMcGhee · 25/02/2019 08:02

My DS has Frozen and Disney Princess 'girls' pants because they are the ones he chose. I did look for 'boys' versions but it was impossible to find them. I told my DH that if it looked like DS's willy was about to fall off from being contaminated with girls clothes I would reconsider but until then, he wears the pants he likes, just as we all do. Grin

BikeRunSki · 25/02/2019 08:04

DD wore DS’s hand me down “boys” pants for potty training. The willies of 2 year old boys are not big enough to need significant amounts of extra pant space.

EvaHarknessRose · 25/02/2019 08:22

Pastabest has a good point - the thomas pants could be the reward - a star on the chart for each wee in the potty and when she has ten in a row, the thomas pants!

QueenArseClangers · 25/02/2019 08:48

3lucky d’ya reckon that Sir T will be in for a shock when his grants dry up? Bet they’re EU ones and he’s shitting it.
My kids used to have a mixture of absolutely crapping themselves/loving that Diesel bastard.
