It's newborns for me. The newer, the better.

Mine is a teenager, and I still find her cute sometimes! Is that weird?!Grin

MyDcAreMarvel · 23/02/2019 16:58

0-4 will three optimum as they say funny things and ask questions .

happymummy12345 · 23/02/2019 17:00

I loved the newborn stage and I miss my tiny baby every day. But he's 3 and a half now and he doesn't stop asking questions and trying to tell us things, which is cute as well. Can't do much without being asked what I'm doing, or being told that he will help me, sometimes he likes to tell us what he wants us to do as well.

LaurieFairyCake · 23/02/2019 17:03

When they've moved out Grin

TheyGotMyName · 23/02/2019 17:31

@LaurieFairyCake 🤣🤣🤣

witherwings · 23/02/2019 18:12

Between 10months and 4 years when they think the world is you. Not so much when they start school and get attitude (although they still have their moments)

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 23/02/2019 18:27

Other people's kids? When they're babies.(mine was an arsehole)
Mine? Dunno can't pinpoint a certain age..she's 7 now and still ridiculously cute in looks, words and actions most of the time.

TeaforTwoBiscuitOrThree · 23/02/2019 18:28

Asleep curled up with soft toy.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 23/02/2019 18:32

I think when some of their adult teeth come through but their baby teeth are next to them they look like little chipmunks. I was watching the 2nd Harry Potter film and the kids in that still look cute, they must have been about 12?

SpanielEars070 · 23/02/2019 18:34

When they leave home Grin or before they start talking!

pizzabadger · 23/02/2019 18:38

I think between 1 and 5 is the cutest age.
They're interactive and engaging but they're still cute and babyish.

It probably not something you're meant to say but I've always thought other people's newborns were kind of ugly.
Mine were adorable obviously but so boring as newborns.

buckeejit · 23/02/2019 18:39

2-3 ❤️

pizzabadger · 23/02/2019 18:41

That being said I still think my 16yo is adorable (most of the time) and my mum still has her moments when she cooing over my brother or me occasionally.

NameChange30 · 23/02/2019 18:41

18-24 months, when their speech is developing amazingly fast. They start to put words together, make mini sentences and give you orders (!) and you can have little conversations with them - but they still get some words wrong which can be cute and/or hilarious.

They are also getting more and more independent and doing that cute pottering about thing... but still young enough that you get a glimpse of your baby from time to time.

Can you tell my DS is about to turn 2 and I'm besotted?! Grin

(He is also bloody hard work and we often find ourselves saying it's a good job he's so cute!)

NameChange30 · 23/02/2019 18:42

I used to think 6 months was peak cuteness and it is from an aesthetic POV, but now I have a toddler I can see why people find newborns a bit boring (apart from the snuggles and the smell... THE SMELL)

ineedsomeinspiration · 23/02/2019 18:43

Another vote for when they’re asleep.

elQuintoConyo · 23/02/2019 18:49

My 7yo playing patiently with an 18mo, definitely cute.
His lower lip trembling when I told him he couldn't marry me cos I'm married to daddy - and his big smile when I quickly added, "but you can live with us forever!" Grin
When he has surrounded a 3-legged spider with little plastic construction cones so the dog doesn't step on it or sniff it up her nose

My son has been cute since the day he was born Grin

CigarsofthePharoahs · 23/02/2019 18:51

Newborn or when they're just talking.
Newborns are tiddly, squish up and just want to be held. Their poo is also not particularly offensive.
My eldest hit his cutest ever when not quite two. He woke from his nap and then decided to sit in his cot practicing how to say the word trousers.
I went to get him and I could hear "Ter-ow-derive? Ter-ow-der-der? Ter-ter-swers? Ter-ows-sners?" in his little toddler voice. Eeeeeep!

ChristmasArmadillo · 23/02/2019 18:54

Not two! I love 12-18ish months the most. They’re becoming little people with their own personalities that they know how to express, but they’re still your soft pudgy baby. A newborn is a different type of cute but still one of the very best.

OutOntheTilez · 23/02/2019 19:07

From around 3-4 months to when they begin learning to talk.

As babies they are so cute and round and they smell so fresh and clean after a bath. They have those round chubby rolls on their arms and legs and smooth cheeks. When they begin learning to talk they say absolutely the cutest things in the sweetest little voices.

Cuteness alert: A coworker out on maternity leave is coming in next week for the first time with her three-month old! Grin My sons are teenagers and sometimes I miss the baby years.

TheGreenDot · 23/02/2019 19:10

I think 14m ish. My ds is this age now and I love the cuddles, the walking and the odd world. And tbesypprose at new things.

My 3.5 year old is still cute but far more annoying too.

WineGummyBear · 23/02/2019 19:15

2-3. But I think this is an evolutionary strategy because this age is soooo hard. They have to be mega cute to keep their parents motivated to keep them alive.

ChanklyBore · 23/02/2019 19:16

You get the cute learning to talk thing all over again when they learn to write, though, and write in their phonics-led adorableness.

MY BEBBY IS CYOOT

abcriskringle · 23/02/2019 19:20

Before having a baby I'd have said 2-3 years. Now have a 1.5 yo and honestly he has never not been cute to me although I'm obviously completely biased!

user1471453601 · 23/02/2019 19:23

My DD had made me laugh all her life, sometimes by being " cute", mostly because she has a cracking sense of humour. So, if a definition of " cute" is making you laugh, then I'll say 48
