How long do you think it would take (tomorrow), and what’s the best route in your opinion?

Thanks Smile.

WHere in London?

South London, straight up the A23 with no traffic, can do it in under an hour, north London, add on another 30 mins maybe?

“London” is too big a starting point.

Why don’t you check google maps and out in your actual start and end point, and expected departure time. It will tell you the typical journey time at the time.

North West London - I have checked but I can’t find a site which lets you put in departure time or maybe I am doing something wrong.

Have you got the Waze app ? It’s pretty accurate for timings and it lets you add a start time I think
( as a side note I did that journey many times when I was at uni and it was always a coin toss between round the north circular or straight through the middle )

why100000 · 23/02/2019 16:32

Thanks I haven’t, I will try it.

Yes would rather to through the middle and avoid the M25 if I can - don’t know if it’s possible.

My DH who has done this regularly for years on & off says...

If by early you mean 5.30am to miss rush hour, then it should take about 1,1/2 hours, that should allow for current roadworks on the M25 too, but add a bit more time if you don't want to cut it fine.

This misses rush hour, any later & your looking at much longer, at least 2,1/2 hours, maybe much more due to roadworks & this weeks train disruptions 👍🏼

Thank you to you and your dh @RockinHippy that’s very helpful Smile.
