Please could someone describe the filling to me? Are they like the Quorn ones?

They are Quorn ones.

SpringForEver · 23/02/2019 12:44

Thank you. I find the Quorn ones are dry, are they the same 'dryness'?

They aren't. It's many years since I had a meat sausage roll, but the moistness was more similar to that, than the dry quorn ones you get at the supermarket. I actually like them and I hate quorn.

Cwenthryth · 23/02/2019 12:59

I liked them, the pastry was very nice and the filling not dry at all.

SaveKevin · 23/02/2019 12:59

They are epic.

Nothing like the Quorn sausage rolls from the supermarket. The filling has a lot more flavour, and the pastry is really nice too!

Haven't had the Quorn ones but they compare well to Linda McCartney veg sausage rolls and are much better than the Sainsburys vegan sausage rolls, IMO.

Agree with pp, they aren't dry.

They're much nicer than the Quorn ones and aren't at all dry. I'm not vegan but I was very impressed by them and I hate almost all faux meat products.

witchy89 · 23/02/2019 13:11

Had my first one the other day. I've not had quorn for years as they've only recently released a few vegan products but I did think it has a slight quorny taste, but it was nice. They were quite salty but I don't season my food or eat a lot of processed food so could just be my taste buds being extra sensitive. It was really yummy though and was quite surprised that everyone in the que in front of me was getting the vegan ones too, they barely had any left! Loads of the meat ones left though.

I had one the other week and was happily surprised by how tasty it was. The pastry isn’t as flakey as your regular ones but nonetheless still tasty. The die hard meat eating DS has a bite and didn’t mind it, he however isn’t not a convert to the vegetarian side.

Redpriestandmozart · 23/02/2019 13:50

I found them very similar but not as moist as the Linda McCartney sausage rolls. I have eaten many nicer vegan sausage rolls at small independent cafes but usually much bigger and far more expensive.

So for £1 they're not bad.

Thanks to everyone here, someone brought me one back from the shops, it was indeed much nicer than the Quorn branded ones but very, very salty.
