Can't find my TV aerial. Housing association responsibility?

I've had virgin media for ages but just switched to Talktalk.

My talktalk TV box has arrived and it needs to be attached to an aerial. I can't find it. I know I had one but the HA have rendered the outside of the house, cladded it with all new brickwork and roof.

I think they've covered the aerial or got rid?

I don't know what to do as I've just signed up to an 18 month contract for Tv

I'm not very technically minded. Would a new one need to be fitted on the roof?

Sorry if I sound daft. I haven't a clue

Do you mean you can't find the aerial port inside your home? Presumably you've checked the wall/skirting board around the back of your TV for an aerial port?

If you have an aerial there will be a port inside your house, it usually as a plastic cover over the front which is the size of a single socket with the aerial point in the middle.

You need to find the point inside your house first. There will (or should be) a cable on the outside of your house from behind where the socket is that will be connected to the actual aerial.

Check the roof. Is the Ariel still there?
If you've rendered it may not be wired in the house there should be a co ax wire loose outside.

Thankyou I've just found it under the windowsill Blush

How embarrassing.
