Best slings after c section and for breastfeeding

Hi I’m looking for recommendations for a sling that I can breastfeed in.
I have a three week old so needs to be suitable for a newborn, for periods as long as possible.

I have also delivered by c section, so if any c section mums have any recommendations for slings that don’t aggravate area where scar is?

Much appreciated.

Watching with interest. I have a sling but don't know how I'd breastfeed in it!

Hello, I had a close Caboo and could breast feed in it. You have to choose clothes carefully and sort of hoik your boob/nipple up. But easy once you get the hang of it. It was a bit uncomfortable with c section with it until about 5 weeks. But it was the weight of the baby for too long that was the problem, it didn’t go anywhere near my scar. Good luck and congratulations on baby.

Try a ring sling. There's no pressure around your midriff so hopefully that'll be better for healing. Great for breastfeeding in, you can drop baby down to nurse and use the tail to cover if you want to. There's lots of tutorials on YouTube (wrap you in love is a favourite of mine, as is wrapping rachel)

Congrats on baby!!

Close Caboo until they get a little bigger then Integra. 6 weeks when baby went into Integra was when sling feeding started to become properly comfortable - it was really just supported feeding until then. Slings are great but breastfeeding and babywearing are two different skills you need to master before putting them together. Also I highly recommend a trip to your local sling library to try before you buy.

I’ve used the close caboo after both c sections and got in really well with it. Never mastered breastfeeding in it though, did in my Rose and Rebellion carrier when they were bigger.

I used a Hana wrap. You can tie it so it supports or avoids your scar and it's made from bamboo so the baby doesn't overheat.
