Good drying weather today ?

Exceptional for February in West Yorkshire. Mild, blue sky and sunshine and a southerly breeze. Only snag is that I've been at work since early this morning so I couldn't peg any out. That and my washing machine isn't working so I couldn't do a load anyway. Sod's Law.

I hope you're having more laundry luck than I.

Oh no I hope you get your washing machine sorted out soon,I hate it when life or my sodding washing machine work against me when it's good drying weather.

Today I've defeated them both and have a full line (4 lots)of bedding hung out and I've even done a bit of tidying in the garden today as well.

Here in N Yorkshire, pegged out first thing and drying beautifully. Nothing like the smell of washing dried outdoors is there?

LavenderBelle · 22/02/2019 15:13

I’ve done most of my washing today too, it’s sunny but breezy by us. Hoping this carries on for a while, I like being able to dry things outside

I text my husband earlier

‘Tonight my friend, we lie on line-dried sheets!’

He wasn’t nearly as excited as I am.

KindergartenKop · 22/02/2019 16:54

Your husband is a loser. The only thing that beats line dried sheets is crispy line dried towels.

IndigoSpritz · 22/02/2019 17:19

I've got new sheets - I was able to wash those and get them dry before Mr. Indesit stopped.

Oh I love a crispy line dried towel as well! Sorry to hear your machine has packed up, OP.

Did the sofa throws, went out, came back to just-crisp-enough, line dried deliciousness to park my arse on.

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 22/02/2019 18:04

I got my bedding out today too, dried lovely and shoved them under DP's nose when I brought them in to show him how fresh they smell. I love it when I can get my washing out

It was beautiful here and I had holiday washing to do.

So naturally the neighbours decided to light a bonfire. Angry

Fuckrrs.

I did hang bedlinen out this morning, it didn't get completely dry as our garden doesn't get much sun at this time of year, but I just finished it off inside. Tomorrow I need to get two loads dry: I realised I can't get to the linen cupboard for possibly a few weeks, because two large heavy shower screens are leaning against it. So when we change our beds it has to be washed and dried in a day.
