Firstly, I want to say how much I love her, she makes me laugh out loud regularly and I think she is perfect for Drivetime. However..... I CAN'T STAND the 'phrased and confused' slot as it makes me SO anxious. I fret every time that they won't say the phrase, and my toes curl and I feel total cringe whilst the caller makes ever more desperate attempts to make them say it. Is it just me?

Just me then?

No, me too. It's the only part I want to switch over for. I love her general banter and the music is mostly good

Did she say ‘barking up the wrong tree’ today? I actually turned the volume off as I couldn’t bear it. So no, YANBU at all! I’ve no idea why it does this to me - I can usually cope with a slight bit of tension!

Whisky2014 · 21/02/2019 21:37

It's embarrassing. I've noticed it's only women who call in!
Also, since they put a song on whilst the person thinks what to say I don't see how they wouldnt just txt the other person to give them a heads up. Some of the convos seem fake.

PolaDeVeboise · 21/02/2019 21:41

Yes, she did @DragonflyInn. However, it took ages and my toenails were almost digging into my foot!

I think it's fake because no one ever swears, which is definitely not normal. Plus I think it is cringeworthy, the only downside of a really good show.

Whisky2014 · 22/02/2019 15:39

Yeh good point about the swearing. If a friend called me about the dogs barking at the tree of have responded "fuck off?!" Etc and the hellos and niceties at the start seem too unrealistic.
