How do I record something off the radio?

Back in the day I would've bunged a tape in the stereo, pressed play & record, and had said radio show forever on cassette.
How do I do it now? I know I can listen again, but only for 30 days or something.
How do I keep it forever?

TIA

Download a recording app and hold it near the radio and be really quiet.

What station?

Lots of BBC shows are available to download and keep forever. For the rest, you can use Get_iplayer, which is command-line software.

if you have a freeview recorder you can also tune into radio and record it like you would a TV program.
