I hope mum's and dads can help me with a question that I'm struggling to get an answer to...
How can families afford to have children? Ive seen the cost of childcare and I choke. My partner earns over the threshold to be eligible for any benefits so I'm scratching my head wondering how families afford to raise children as well as pay for a mortgage etc.
Going through my outgoings, which is just basic water, electric etc no luxury items.. I'd barely be able to cover food for the table. I'd be no better off no working or working and paying for childcare.
I'm baffled. How do families do it? Tips/ advice.
Me and my partner are looking to start a family in the next year.
