Thank you ideas for 9 and 6 year old girls not in the UK?

Hi, we are soon to visit friends in the US and would like to take small gifts for their daughters as a thank you for having us to stay (already have something for our friends). They are nine and six and I haven't a clue what to get! Any ideas? Something with a UK slant would be nice but not essential, main thing is something they'd like. Budget about £10 each.

Waterstones sells a lot of Roald Dahl stationery. Roald Dahl films are popular in the US but they don’t have as much merchandise as us. Stationery is always a pretty good idea for a present especially if you don’t know the recipient very well - it doesn’t matter if they’re girly girls or not, and it will always get used.

Books set in the U.K., t shirts with London on them or pencil cases. Smiggle stuff is popular

Ah brilliant, thank you. I hadn't thought of any of these ideas.
