I’m not a tactile person at all. I consider myself to be warm, and friendly and make an effort to find out about people/make conversation but hate greeting or saying goodbye to people I don’t know all that well.
In my family we would give each other a side kiss on the cheek, sometimes a hug, so that’s sort of inbuilt and is often what I go for. However most people seem to opt for a hug over a kiss when we don’t know each other all that well.
So my question is, what do you tend to go for when you know someone, but you’re not close? In an acquaintance sort of way.
I hate being the first to initiate with fellow awkward greeters too! Anyone else?
