Margate

DH and I are looking for a weekend away and have found a gorgeous hote in Margate. We’d be looking to go in March but not sure if it’ll be too much like a ghost town. We’d be keen for long walks etc if that’s possible? Any thoughts?

Personally I wouldn't hit the north Kent coast if decent weather wasn't guaranteed. Margate can also get blanketed by a pretty grim smell some of the time (seaweed? No idea what it is but it's pretty disgusting).

If you take a car you can leave Margate and the north Kent coast and get into the countryside which will be much nicer.

In fact, I wouldn't stay in Margate at all!

Ha! Unfortunately what I was worried about. Fallen in love with The Reading Rooms (and the fact they serve breakfast in your room) but don’t want to be stuck in the hotel for 2 days
