Best shower gel/body wash to really clean yourself?

Preferably suitable for someone with allergies/sensitive skin

I never feel super clean after a shower

I swear by Original Source Mint and Tea Tree shower gel with a body puff thing - but crucially (!) Pears soap on pits n bits- very mild never any dryness but a very clean feeling.

Do not use the aforementioned shower gel on your bits!

You'll never make that mistake twice Shock

Pears or imperial leather soap, the only way to feel squeaky clean, flannel or sponge & a good lather of soap. Shower gel doesn't do the job like a bar of soap.

Brizzle very true!

My chronic dermatitis has improved massively since I swapped to soap and so has my bank balance!

Personally I don't really mind which shower gel or soap I use, but I really must use either some "loofah" gloves or the net thing that makes the soap all sudsy.

A nice bar of Pears soap does the job.

FloofyDoof · 19/02/2019 19:35

Definitely soap, it gets you much cleaner than gels. I like to use a bar of soap to get clean then a quick rinse with a little of my nice smelling shower oil or gel all over apart from armpits and bits after if I fancy using it. The Dr bronners almond scented soap bar smells really good, and nesti dante soaps are lovely too. Holland and Barrett do a good honey or royal jelly one but I can't remember what the name of the brand is.

Bar of soap or Dr Brommers here ( the almond one is devine)

Proper soap and a sponge and I'm squeaky clean
