Google?

Ikea plastic kids cups are about right if you have one.

The trouble is cups are a measure of volume, not weight. A cup of veg will not weigh the same as a cup of flour.

Scotinoz · 18/02/2019 19:48

As long as you use the same cup
Consistently in a recipe, it works. I've got various 'cup' measures in the house, none of which are exactly the same volume, but if you stick to the same one it works.

It says in that recipe what a jar is. Mind you, it might not be what you intended to link to as I could click had to copy & paste (it was a cake)

Is this the yogurt pot cake? Nigella has a recipe and it’s bascially about keeping the proportions, so almost any pot (or mug/cup) will probably do.

They tell you at the start the amount in a cup (Or half a cup)

Traditionally, the ingredients are measured in a yogurt jar, a (small glass cylinder that holds about 125 ml. Because most American yogurts don’t come in such smart packaging, you’ll want to know that 1 jar equals about 1/2 cup*

(by my reckoning that means you want a cup that holds 250mls)

dementedpixie · 18/02/2019 19:53

On re-reading You need a cup that holds 125mls

Thanks, I wasn’t sure whether to go down the route of using a yogurt pot for everything but then wasn’t sure if it would still be 3 eggs. Or if my cup was to big I’d need another egg or to small and I’d only need 2

So I was getting confused and thought I’d ask
