Wild camping Isle of Wight

So my son and three friends want to camp on the Isle of Wight this week. My husband and I fancy a night away so want to stay in a B&B nearby.

Problem is we can’t find campsites open in half term. They only want to pitch a tent somewhere so electrify and washing facilities not needed. Anyone know where we can look online or suggest anywhere suitable? I am not a camping fan...

You won't find much open until March- try toms eco lodge at tapnell farm. Pricey but I think they are open all year. & the burgers at the cow restaurant are lovely

Can you not stay on the mainland - I'm sure there's places in the new forest they can find to discretely wildcamp

Thanks but NF is too far. They need somewhere they can train it to so the Island was perfect.
I like the look of Toms but no availability except Friday.
They are doing a long trek and not camping now.
