I’ve got visitors coming this weekend.
Please help me find the motivation to finish decorating the hallway and bathroom before they get here.
I’ve got severe joint pain and all I really want to do is snuggle up in bed with a coffee and Mumsnet. But I really need to get the painting finished, I just can’t get motivated and I’m a world class procrastinator Blush.

Have you got the paint already? If you don't need to factor a B&Q trip into this, it's all easily do-able.
Break it into chunks. Start with masking taping everything that needs to be covered, then have a cup of tea. Then get the paint mixed and do the first wall. Then have another cup of tea. Then do the next wall and aim to have another break when that's done. Only, you'll have tricked yourself into action and you'll think, "Oh fuck it, I'll just carry on as it's nearly done".
Helpful hint: do the hall first as you'll need easy access to the bathroom after having swigged all that tea 😁.

I’ve got everything except the motivation Blush
It’s all sitting there. Looking at me accusingly and saying “Why the fuck have we been sat here for 6 weeks?”
I’ve made a start on scrubbing the skirting boards, does that count?
Normally I wouldn’t care, but this is my ex and he’s really good at staying in my DD’s lives. We split up over 10 years ago and he regularly travels a 600 mile journey to see them, texts them every day and rings them weekly. He makes more of an effort than their own dad.
