Legoland hotels

Hi,
We're thinking of going to Legoland - 2 adults & 2 children. Looking at the Legoland website we could get a deal for 2 nights in a hotel plus 2 days in the theme park though there are a range of hotels to choose from so just wondered which you'd recommend please?
We're not bothered about paying over the odds to stay in the park so want somewhere nice, modern & clean nearby...

The Marriott or Holiday Inn look ok?
Copthorne or Coppid Beech or Park Inn Heathrow are probably the cheapest bit the reviews aren't all great... ?

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

If you can afford it, go for the Legoland hotel. The newest hotel in the area is the Slough Trading Estate Premier Inn which already has good reviews. Cheap and not too far away and apparently the staff are great. Wouldn’t stay at the Copthorne or Holiday Inn Express, they are quite tired and busy.

Thanks. We can't afford the Legoland hotel though it does look good!

I love a Premier Inn! You always know what you're going to get I suppose.

We have stayed at the Coppid Beach 3 times; its fairly old-fashioned, but we just sleep there, so i'm not bothered. Bedding was all clean etc and bed v.comfy.

They also have a pool too; handy as we go down the day before and spend a couple of hour in pool to tire kids out for bedtime!

Get a family room, kids will have their own bedroom

Thank you, I'll take a look again- was just put off by some negative reviews though it is one of the cheapest...

We got a deal of 2 days in LL with the night in between at the Beaumont Estate Hotel in Windsor. Great hotel, about 10 mins drive away. Enormous buffet, with a pancake machine at breakfast. It also has a playground and swimming pool.

Sounds good, will have a look.... Thanks!

Found a deal for a family of 4, 2 nights in a hotel plus breakfast, 2 days at Legoland for £300 - does that seem reasonable?

It's booking through Legoland Holidays...

Thanks

Depends what hotel it is?

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 19/02/2019 06:56

Yes on the face of it it’s a good deal but for instance I probably wouldn’t stay at the coppid beech, it’s not even that close.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 19/02/2019 08:50

This is the Premier Inn - so pretty basic I guess but it's had good reviews...
13 miles away apparently

We stay in Premier Inn at Heathrow M4/J4. It's about 20 mins up the motorway. We've always found it the cheapest and have stayed for as little as £30 a night. Staff are lovely and it's in a nice quiet spot, well as quiet as it gets in that areaGrin

Snowmaggedon · 19/02/2019 09:52

Hate too throw curve balls in., I just wouldn't bother... save a teeny bit more and Go abroad.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 19/02/2019 10:49

You can’t go abroad for 4 people for ‘a teeny bit more’ than £300 Confused

ButterflyOfFreedom · 19/02/2019 13:57

I think our budget for the entire trip is £500. That has to include petrol, food, accommodation & tickets to the park.
I thought £300 seemed ok - DC really want to go to Legoland!

Sounds good, we’ve just booked 2 days of park tickets and 1 night in Legoland hotel for just under £300 (was a Christmas present otherwise would’ve looked at other hotels), 2 adults and 1 DC.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 19/02/2019 16:49

Lego hotel does look fab but we can't justify spending what would be about twice as much as a Premier Inn!
Sounds like you have a good deal though.

We stayed at the Marriott when we did one of those packages. Was great.

Otherwise we have stayed in the premier inn at Slough and just done it ourselves.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 19/02/2019 21:59

Thank you!

Still researching but it looks like there are a few decent options
