Has anyone else had a truly shite month?

In the last 5 weeks...
My beloved cat died in my arms aged 19.
My DD1 was admitted to hospital close to organ failure with a BMI under 13, needing ng tube feeding to get her stable before a month of inpatient help (combo of never resolved anorexia and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome)
Then yesterday my DS2 who has autism and LDs was diagnosed with pretty severe Ulcerative Colitis...luckily he doesnt get how nasty a condition it is but :(

I'm just waiting for the wheels to fall off my car or one of my other kids to come crashing down....

I crack on with it, supporting DD1, caring for DS2, managing 5 young adults in my household... but I am so so tired. I feel have felt fluey and really unwell for a week, and I don't know if it is a virus or sheer exhaustion!

So far 2019 sucks!

Yeah me, this is why I hate new year “good riddance 20xx, 20xx will be my year!”

Unlikely, here comes the new year same as the old year.

Qsandmore · 16/02/2019 23:36

Although that wasn’t very chirpy was it? Sorry struggling tonight.

I’m sorry to hear about your DD and DS that must be incredibly hard. Flowers

StillMedusa · 16/02/2019 23:44

It sounds like I have dreadful kids and too many, don't I? The five includes two partners living with us, who are lovely, DD1 is actually a junior doctor herself, and lives 200 miles away which has made being there ( which I needed to be!) complicated...and expensive! She will recover..she has before, with much less support, but dear God I'm tired...

I hate the New year stuff too... but this has been the worst in a while!

Thanks. I'm finding it so strange, I'm not even 40 yet.

Qsandmore · 17/02/2019 10:19

Oh that’s truly awful I am sorry x

Snap Gretchen.

alfagirl73 · 17/02/2019 12:19

Yep. My Mum passed away 2 weeks ago... it's still not hit me properly yet, I'm waiting for the tsunami of grief to knock me sideways.

Hugs to everyone going through difficult stuff and who have had a crap year so far!

xx

Yes.
Narrowly escaped a house fire due to faulty electrics
Had a flood that came down and through my new kitchen ceiling. Loads of other shit house stuff. Broken light switch, broken toilet flush, back gate blew down and blocked sink
I have been unwell twice
My daughter has been unwell with real flu.
My car broke down rather dramatically going into limp mode on the dual carriageway. Replaced car, wiped out any small money the family had toward a holiday this year
New car needed another 500 quid spent on it
I started a new job, good but stressful
My husband had a prostate biopsy and subsequently has been told he needs his prostate removed and he has cancer.

All in all Jan and Feb so far can do one

Lepetitpiggy · 17/02/2019 12:45
