Lots of friends meditate, I'd like to try it, but don't know where to start! Anyone recommend a good app for beginners that might help?

Headspace. Think there’s a 30 day free trial. Did absolute wonders for me.

I prefer Calm to Headspace.

Are they a one-off fee or monthly? I looked at one that was a subscription, not sure I'm that committed yet!

Insight timer has lots of free stuff and I found it a good place to start. I do like Calm the best but haven't committed to a subscription yet.

Calm has some free stuff and some that you have to pay for, I think.

I like Glenn Harrold. Bit of a weird voice but very relaxing once you get used to it!

Headspace for me

I like Calm. Think there is a free trial.

Insight timer. I don't pay for it, I just use the free stuff.

I like Buddhify - one off charge rather than subscription model and lovely interface. Also a nice varied range of meditations.

Headspace

I paid £30 for the year for Calm and it was money well spent!
