Do these exist?
Is there a magical shop that sells lovely thick, quality bedsheets/duvet covers that will last?!

I have some - beautiful cotton, applique, bought a while ago but they will last for the rest of my life.

From Selfridges, Harrods, Debenhams and Heals. Good white cotton, all by different designers but the quality of the cotton is lovely. You need to look for individual names rather than a make if you want something special.

I had some cotton from Frette, not bedding though, but the cotton was good, it might be worth a look. (Disclaimer - it might have changed since I last shopped).

I just got some very nice ones from Debenhams in their 70% off sale which I'm very pleased with. I'd never have been able to justify paying the full price for them though.

We have a gorgeous bedding set from Christie's that we got in the sale at Fenwick. They always feel crisp and luxurious.

We also have DKNY set (also from Fenwick sale) that are so cosy and comfy, and because of the pattern/style, don't need to be ironed at all!

So I guess I would suggest department store sales Smile

Dorma from Dunelm.
Beautiful and soft and stand up to years and years of washing with no nibbling or signs of wear.

I have the basic range from John Lewis, I am very pleased with them, they are still quite crisp and very white one year on, they are only the 200 thread count ones, I simply could not justify the top of the range ones. They wash beautifully. No ironing required.

Thank you very much for the suggestions, I'm off to have a nosey now.. Grin

If you have a JL they are worth a look at clearance time, I picked up a 100% cotton king size duvet set yesterday for half price.
