Will a dirt cheap smart-watch sync with my s9?

I only want one because I'm curious how many steps I actually walk & my phone isn't practical in one job and not allowed it at the other.

Does anyone know if a super cheap one will work with the s9? I'm likely to get bored once I know so no point spending much :)

Dh and I have the Xiaomi mi band 3 which syncs with both my iPhone and dh android. We both love it.
