Ourpath

Has anyone tried it? What did you think? I've tried TeamRH but it's just not for me. I just want a diet/plan/lifestyle change without all the personalities thrown in (I totally get it works for some people, but it isn't for me.)

So ourpath looks pretty good, no obsession with muller lights from what I see so far. Anyone tried it? I need to get away from the "reward" mentality of food and I dont want shouted at...

I'll be watching this with interest as I've been looking at Ourpath as well. I need to do something, but I'm reluctant to spend the money without knowing more!

Florenceflamingo · 16/02/2019 19:03

I've been prompted by a 50% off month one email. But I have literally no idea what will be involved. It says no calorie counting and no points- so does that mean no chocolate either??

That would worry me! I need a Magnum now and keep me going!

Florenceflamingo · 16/02/2019 19:38

I might need to sign up to try it for us both!

I’ve done it, I’ve just cancelled as I’m pregnant but would wholly recommend. The plan is easy and effective, I lost a stone in 4 weeks without feeling hungry. Resources and the online group - within a pretty handy app, are fab. I was a little bit disappointed my original group weren’t very chatty but then we merged with another and it was much better. I’ve tried WW and Slimming World before, this is the one that clicked for me.

It’s whole foods cooked from scratch, no sugar at all. Takes a bit of time but my shopping bill went down dramatically and it helped me batch cook and be more organised.

Florenceflamingo · 16/02/2019 19:46

No sugar at all? So no Krispy kremes?

Sounds worth a go, I'm overweight just now and have already had cancer once so I'm keen to make my odds better. Thanks Astrid and congrats!

Yup, Krispy Kremes are a no go unfortunately Grin

Even 80/20 on their recipes would be enough to make a difference I think, pretty sure I wasn’t that strict with it.

Florenceflamingo · 16/02/2019 20:09

Can you adapt stuff yourself? Sorry, I'm asking all the questions! Theres just so little info which is off putting- I know they do 14 day trial but youve got to send stuff back and if sounds like a pain.

Yep, it’s basically full fat, high protein, reduced carbs and no sugar or additives. Carbs you measure, I think it works out about 2 small slices of bread a day or one small portion rice or one breakfast porridge.

I was typically eating an oatie smoothie for breakfast (200g plain yog, frozen rasps, milk, 2 tbsp oats, loads of spinach all blitzed - better than it sounds). Boiled eggs and salad for lunch, then their recipe veggie burgers ( no bun) with veg/ salad or baked eggs with veg for tea. I’m veggie, you could sub in any meat - sticking to lean protein, some fat, some veg/ salad for every meal.

astridforty · 16/02/2019 20:28

I did the cheapest plan - no tech included, not sure it’s worth it for the scales and fit bit

Florenceflamingo · 16/02/2019 20:32

Brill thanks, I've already got a tracker and bluetooth scales so I'm guessing I can just use those? £60 PM for 3 months is just too much for the unknown.

Thanks for your insight Smile I've just had enough of teamrh so I guess this might be worth a go.

Ok, I've signed up - bit annoying that I cant start for 8 days though. If anyone wants a referral code (£20 off for you and me) give me a PM. Hopefully I'm still feeling motivated next Monday!

Bump - just discovered caffeine is out too!

CatGoals · 31/03/2019 19:26

Bumping this as I would love a referral code! @Florenceflamingo how have you got on with it?

CatGoals · 31/03/2019 21:21

Bumping Smile

Florenceflamingo · 31/03/2019 21:42

I'm so sorry, I cancelled my account within 2 days as I discovered I had to give up carbs, fruit, sugar and caffeine. If you want to try something similar look at the fast diet. The book is £4 and along the same principals.

@Florenceflamingo Hi! Thanks so much for coming back to me. Hmm, sugar and carbs I can understand but why would fruit and caffeine be terrible? My cups of tea certainly are not the things making me overweight. Nor are my strawberries Wink Ah that is a shame!
