Fluey virus he'll

Hello,

I've had this fluey type virus for over a week. I ache, my joints click, I'm hot, then I'm cold. I have a sore throat, my ears feel raw, cough, my head feels like it's so heavy it's going to topple off my neck.

I've dragged myself to work everyday (new job, don't feel comfortable taking time off), hoping someone might tell me to go home, but no.

Been going to bed around 8pm all week. This means I've done nothing at home. No food shop, no washing, no real tidying. Kids have basically eaten freezer food all week.

Yesterday I was starting to feel a little better. I was hopeful today I would feel more better and could get my life back in order. I've woke up today and actually feel worse. I could cry (I did). I have so much to do. I'm a LP so no one else here to help.

Anyone have any miracle cures?

Has work not noticed how unwell you have been all week. Anyone take your kids today. You need to sleep and you need to make sure you are having lots of liquids.
There are certain things that aren’t going to get better without rest and this is one of them. You’ll feel worse as youve probably been running on adrenaline all week.

I do feel for you, I had this virus and knocked me for six for a fortnight , ended up having one day off work sick and still have the sore throat 3 weeks in Sad

Thanks for the advice and sympathy, sorry you've not felt well either SAK.

I've got wed-fri booked off next week for half term, hopefully that will help get it out of my system. Got the teenager up to help with stuff.. 5 year old keeps telling me I'm fine Hmm Brew
