I've just been listening to 'Will You' by Hazel O'Connor and I'd forgotten what a fantastic song it is. 'Thunder In The Mountains' by her contemporary, Toyah Wilcox, is also great.

I found myself crying to ‘The Mother’ by Brandi Carlile this week when I first heard so currently discovering her music. Absolutely represents how I feel about being a parent.
Aside from that - Phoebe Bridges, Laura Marlin, Soccer Mommy and Jenny Lewis are all great songwriters

Pretty much anything by Kate Bush but I love singing along to Suspended in Gaffa and Moments Of Pleasure. Also This Woman’s Work but I murder it, sadly!
