Feather duvets

Since dc I get sweaty at night, hormonal though so not like every night. But whenwe change the 10tog synthetic quilt for the 13tog feather quilt I am literally drenched in sweat most nights. But I am not hot! And I wasn't this sweaty during the summer. I am convinced its the feathers but dh said feather breathe more than synthetic filler so it is a waste of time buying a new one.

So do festhers make anyone else sweaty? Is there something else I can try, is wool worth it? I wear a cotton top simply to act as a bit of a barrier between me and the wet, cold sheet and quilt if I wake in the night. I just want to wake up in a dry bed!

I digress slightly but maybe important with sweaty issues. Remember most synthetic duvets are washable. Feather ones are dry clean only and never the same afterwards.

I have a wool duvet, having tried synthetic and feather and down. It's amazing.

That's true about the washing. Maybe after using the other one over summer I can judge. Might look into wool ones then

Ive just bought a wool duvet as hormonal too and it’s a game changer!

I bought a silk duvet as my feather one was too hot and sweaty.

Though feather/down duvets can be washed. I take mine to the laundrette each year when the weather gets better

You just have to make sure it's dried quickly which you can do in the big laundrette dryers if it isnt a sunny day
