Single parents.... what are you doing tonight?

Yet another night in for me. I would be happy if I had wine and ice cream, but I don't. Had too much of it lately and trying to refrain. Depressing!

Putting daughter to bed and then sitting and wondering where my life went wrong and why no woman wants me or why I can't find work and why the cat just yowls at me and eventually I'll go to bed where I'll lie on my own and stare at the ceiling until a blissful blackness washes over me.

Chasing them around at bedtime (12 and 10 and worse than ever) while trying to do a bit of housework until 10:30ish.

Then reading MN and listening to radio 4 before I go to sleep. Rock 'n' roll.

Dd has done amazingly well in college exams which were on during a very difficult time & ds finished work experience today in a place he didn’t like but kept going to anyway so I’m very proud of both of them & we are getting a take away to celebrate.

Prob comfort eating and some crying as I've just broken up with a guy I thought the world of. (Not DS father). And then go to bed early so I don't have to sit alone

Hugs and happy vibes to those who don't have great plans or feeling glum....... better to be home alone single and than with some person you can't stand being in a house with (at least thats the way I think about ex..... erk.... makes my skin crawl)

going to a divorce recovery workshop. wary and also excited to be out in the evening after years but not for this kind of thing. maybe it will help who knows. if not that it would be netflix and chocolate as usual

Waiting for DS2 to get out of the shower so I can give him his dinner before leaving DS1 off at his hobby at 6:15 then take DS2 to his at 7:00 then squeeze in a couple of soaps before collecting him again at 8:30 and then his brother at 9:45. Might have a cuppa at some point Grin

I’m feeling really poorly so texting around to see if anyone can have DD tomorrow. She’s had an in-service day today and while she’s been thoroughly lovely it’s been so hard trying to entertain her while just wanting to lie on the sofa feeling sorry for myself Sad

Was off work sick much of the week, so
I’ll get DS (2) off to bed around 8, then settle on the sofa with my laptop and friends on Netflix, so I can catch up on emails and admin. Probably get through the laundry at the same time. I take my diet rather easier on Fridays and Saturdays so may even have some cake and a whiskey later. What a life! Grin

DCs gone with stbxh for a week away in a caravan. I'm home alone for a week.
Tonight I'm drinking gin till I fall asleep.

Chip shop dinner then packing my 2 up to go to their dad's tomorrow early doors til Tuesday.
Lazy evening - just a load of washing and a bit of washing up and then lying on the sofa mn/twitter/last leg.
Can't wait!

Laying on the sofa by myself watching TV. Same as every night. DS is going to exh on Sunday for a few days over half term as I will be working all week.

Sorting dinner, then after kids go to bed, (10pm because it's the weekend) i'll put a movie on and fall asleep in front of the T.V. I will then wake up about 1am and drag myself to bed. The usual!

Got home from work half an hour or so ago. Son is eating his tea,I'm in my pjs. Planning on watching something on tv once I've had something to eat. In bed for 11ish as have to leave home at half 7 in the morning to go to work.

Exciting life I lead.

Just finished dinner. ignoringthedishes and chilling.
Kids with me this weekend. Mid term next week. One day off with them then back to work coz I can't afford to take any extra time off.

Still, could be worse. I could be under the same roof as ex and not coping at all.
