Argh - inhaling mould....?

Just found DD's food tech stuff in her room - from about 2 weeks ago.

Whatever was in there has turned to mould. I scraped it out into the outside bin and have boil washed the tupperware, then put it in the dishwasher.

But now I'm obsessing - what if I inhaled any mould spores accidentally?? Could it make me sick?

FFS. It was rank.

I read something about a similar situation a few weeks ago, a Mum found a similar mouldy package in her dds backpack, she inadvertently inhaled the mould.
Nothing happened immediately, but days later she started to notice that she herself was becoming mouldy. The mould took over until she was herself ...a mould spore. It didn’t stop there though...the mould spread devouring the dd and sadly next doors cat.
Have you got any bleach ?

Then I am sure you will be fine. Wink Although, if you’re still worried Wine is great at killing off unwanted germs.

Mould is only eally dangerous for people with respiratory problems, and even then, most mould is OK.
Don't forget the most famous antibiotic is, essentially, mould.

How exactly is it that you've got, presumably, a secondary age child and this is the first time you've come into Co tact with mould? I pull mouldy tupperware out of bags at the end of every school holiday!

*really

DD is normally pretty good about not letting things get mouldy!!!

Thanks, Daphne. Great advice about the Wine - medicinal, of course Grin
