Can the smell of weed travel through?

We have new neighbours and all of a sudden our upstairs bathroom has smelt of weed on a few occasions.
Our houses are detached is it possible?

If they are smoking outside, and you have a fan on (which draws in air from outside) then yes, it can end up in your house.

My neighbours are growing it in the attic. I can here the electrical pump thing and at times the upstairs stinks of it, presumably when the crop matures. The plant smells very pungent compared to the vapour or smoke when using it.

Yep we have the same problem. Weed boy next door and his foul weed stench at one stage came through our sockets. We have clouds of weed smell when he smokes in their garden. Gross.

I thought so I told OH he said no but I can smell it at their front door aswell.

Yes it travels for ever - we have pothead neighbours two floors below us and seems to seem through the walls. Feel a bit sorry for the woman who lives directly above.

Absolutely reeks. Used to find it bewildering how my dealer neighbour (down the road, corner house) got away with it for so long as even walking past the house was noxious. Smelly.

Yes. One of my neighbors used to smoke it constantly and my house stank of it. It's a migraine trigger for me which was always fun.

He ended up going to jail for a driving offense. Never been so glad to see the back of someone!

It does travel - in the summer when windows are open our house gets the delightful weed stench from a house over the road if the wind is blowing in the right direction.

It can waft far but it's amazing that it's traveled between two detached houses! Probably means they are doing it outside and you have a vent or fan that draws it in.

Just knock on and tell them that the smell is traveling and ask them to smoke inside or switch to a vapouriser.

Only do this if they seem friendly, mind you! If they seem a bit scary I wouldn't knock on their door. If you knock on a scary person's door to complain about the smell, and then it continues and you have to call the police, they will know it was you and it could have nasty repercussions that you don't want to have to deal with. In this case I'd either put up with it or report it if it really bothers you.

Yes it can my neighbors kids smoke it in the garden and my upstairs bloody stinks of it having to keep all windows shut.

With 5 Hydroponic superstores within 30 minutes drive I'd be curious about the ratio of numpty/careful growers around
