Eat, Pray, Love is such a quivering heap of ‘the world’s just a giant theme park for American self-indulgent navel-gazing’ drivel that it makes Dirty Dancing look like Citizen Kane.

Patrick Swayze is not creepy!!

In fairness, he is the world's least convincing 25-year-old (he was 34 and looked it, whereas Jennifer Grey, also much older than her character, was a more believable 17-year-old), and those very high-waisted trousers are a bit creepy, imo. But Dirty Dancing still looks like a timeless work of art compared to Eat, Pray, Love.

EPL was almost insufferable in book form (I persevered... not sure why?)

Film was watched on a plane. I wish I'd slept or had travel sickness or got very drunk.
