I want to take 13yo dd away somewhere for a few days next week - just me and her, DH is busy. Don't want to leave the UK but open to going just about anywhere in it, except perhaps the top bit of Scotland/most remote parts of Cornwall! Possibly Monday to Friday, but we can extend to the weekend if necessary.
Budget is flexible but don't want to have to spend a fortune. Can drive if needs be, but would prefer to relax and travel by public transport if possible. Don't mind self catered accommodation but somewhere with a nice breakfast provided would be lovely! I'm a bit of a wuss in the cold, so no camping in this weather!
Don't really know what we want to do - something a bit different would be good, but I have no inspiration! We both love walking/nature, but also enjoy cities/history/museums etc. Also looked for last minute centreparcs deal but couldn't find anything.
Does anyone have any brilliant suggestions? I know most things will be booked up by now anyway, but still, I'm sure it can't be too late to find something!
