Anyone else recovering from a c section?

As above really, I've started the thread to chat with anyone Who has had a c section recently and about your recovery.
Mine was 2.5 weeks ago. Still have a bruised, swollen, sore feeling. Not very painful, it just feels tender when moving about.
I’m not really managing to get out much at the moment, and also have ds age 3, so struggling trying to keep him occupied in the house. Trying to juggle this childcare and breastfeeding is tough! How are things for others?

Any tips For recovery if you are further on than me will be gratefully accepted Smile

I had a section five weeks ago. I’m still a bit tender. It hasn’t been sore in a while. I’m very numb just above the incision which is strange. There’s no feeling there at all! I have a dd who is three and it is hard to keep her entertained it’s been a lot easier since I started going out more.

I had mine 10 days ago. Bruised and sore to be expected but its more the numbness above the section site that bothers me more.
I have a ds 4 and only managed to get out a couple of times since. Luckily he goes to nursery so he's doing something most days

Just over 3 weeks in. I’m not really feeling any pain or discomfort any more. I get tired easily but that’s getting better day by day. Luckily this is my first baby and my DH is on leave for a few more days and had been really great with doing his share!

Still lightly bleeding but (TMI alert) we fooled around a little yesterday and I think the resulting orgasm made my bleeding a little heavier and fresh coloured (orgasm makes uterus contract and it must have irritated the internal wound Sad) no plans for penetrative sec until I’m signed off at 6 weeks!

I had one four months ago now and just want you to know that 3-4 weeks afterwards I felt like a new woman.

Congratulations on your new baby.

Thanks all good to hear how others are getting on.
Crispsandchoc how long was it before you started getting out?
I am far less sore now it is more like a tender feeling and I don’t feel as though I could walk very far at the moment so have just been out a couple of times in the car.

Bobfossil that’s good to hear thank you 😊

I started going out at around three weeks. My doctor said I was ok to drive then too otherwise it would have been longer as I’m not within walking distance of anywhere and the buses are rubbish here! I had a planned section and healed well externally and I’d imagine that makes a difference.
