Acronyms on mumsnet

Is there a dictionary on here where I can find out what some of them mean. In this case PBP deleting a thread means nothing to me. I have tried google and found out what it meant through another mumsnet thread. We could do with a dictionary on here.

PBP stands for previously banned poster

QuintadiMalago · 14/02/2019 13:22

Sorry, I obviously didn't read your post properly

Goblin you are a star. Looking back at an old thread the answers varied.
Precious bloody princess tickled me.

No problem, I have it bookmarked because everything confused me so much at first, some still do to be honest.

A lot of people not only abbreviate typical words, but they abbreviate everything. It makes posts unreadable so I scroll on by.

E.g.
I went to the PHY today to get APSD. No ASDF was there at the time so I took a POH. What do you PIELs think? Should I request an AEPOIH? Also, my DH is AAC and I am PAAF. JTIPTOT. TIA.

I went to the party for hipsters and yuppies today to get asparagus, pumkin seeds, sunglasses and denim. No asparagus, pumpkins seeds, sunglasses or denim was there at the time so I took a piece of heroin. What do you persons in experience of lucidity think? Should I request and anal endoscopy perhaps or inject heroin? Also my dog Hilbert is acting as a cat and I am perhaps an anonymous foghorn. Just the information is perplexing talking out there. Travelling in Aberdeen.

I don't know why you struggled with that Confused

That resembles what I come up with when I try to decipher half the code on here lol

WonkyDonk87 · 14/02/2019 15:32

When I first joined I thought there was an unusually high amount of posters with the name "Tia". Grin

Place marking

I don't have any objection to the acronyms, but the ones that do highly irritate me are Ddog, Dcat, DHamster etc Grin

DameIfYouDo · 14/02/2019 16:13

I love Ddog! In fact, when I had a dog, I actually used to call him Ddog (he had another name) when referring to him!

HankNPat · 14/02/2019 16:16

I don't call my cats by their real names (both of which are rather unusual), so I just refer to them as Cat1 and Cat2!

Much as I love them, it's a step too far for me to refer to them as Dcat1 and DCat2.

Pumpkintopf · 14/02/2019 16:24

That's hilarious Shart Grin
