I’m clutching at straws here as my info is vague but if anyone can help I will love you forever!
I left primary school on the mid 90’s and I remember a book of poetry in the library that I loved that my parents later bought for me. It had many poems and different sections so limericks were in the back section. It was about 1.5” to 2” thick.
Some poems I remember from the book include:
First Day at School (A million billion willion miles from home, waiting for the bell to go... to go where)
One about eating potato whetethedad burns his mouth (when mummy eats potato she blows and blows)
One about a couple arguing about squeezing the toothpaste and leaving the cap off
One about a cat hated by the writer and being squashed in a door - I remember I didn’t like this poem
Lots of limericks at the back
I can’t remember much else!
