Do we need the sound effects?

Posting here to avoid saying it out loud.

DH is ill. He's not often ill but atm he has stomach ache and feels sick. I am sorry for him. I didn't complain when he didn't eat the dinner I cooked (it would have been nice if he'd let me know he didn't want anything) and I did his washing up duty. I've suggested he goes to bed.

But no, he's sitting on the sofa groaning. If he's not groaning he's explaining which bodily function he wishes he could manage to help him feel better.

Is it awful that I'm ready to snap at him?

YANBU! That would drive me crazy!

I'm so glad my DH is the die quietly type. I think I'd kill him if he was dramatic about being ill. It also means I believed him the one time he said he was genuinely, properly in need of medical attention. If they moan about every little sniffle, it's hard to take them seriously.

YANBU

Is he wearing his 'ill clothes'? @Bestseller? I believe some posters DH's have the Dressing Gown of Doom when they are ill?

elloelloello · 14/02/2019 12:26

My DH had a stomach bug last weekend

The sound effects were quite something.

He has a hoodie of doom. You know it’s bad when the hoodie comes out, but god help us all if the hood goes up
