Bored stiff at work

Is this a reason to hand in my notice? I'm so bored I could cry... have taken on a role a lot more junior to what I was previously doing to get the part time hours i wanted. I'm really having trouble doing all the menial jobs and being ordered around by someone who is in a role less senior to what I have been doing in the past.

If you are really miserable i would look for something else but not hand notice in until i had another job. It depends if your income will make or break your monthly budget.
If you want a job that fits in with the kids then it is not always what you want more what you and your kids needs.

I get bored at work sometimes but my boss is flexible if i need time off and in sch holidays. And that is important. But i have been looking for something else since just after i started four years ago and not found it yet!

Could you ask for more work? Find a project that needs sorting? Review a few policies that need changing? Offer to take on work from a colleague to help them out?
