Can I take my HRT patch off?

I am new to the HRT patches and the leaflet says they should not come off when I swim, but they do, so does anyone know if I can take it off to swim then stick it back on either by warming it with a hairdryer or putting a plaster over the top?

One brand of mine used to come off all the time so I stuck a plaster over them the whole time I used them.
