The sun makes my windows look terrible

It's the holidays, I'm at home during the day, the sun is all lovely and shining in the big back windows. The windows look filthy. I never noticed when it was grey and dull. I can't sit on the sofa and enjoy the sunshine, I'm going to have to clean the windows.
What are your best window cleaning tips? Apart from just waiting till then goes away?

Mine have a delightful coating of Sahara dust at the moment. My plan is to wait until just before my parents arrive in May then pay the teenager next door to clean the lot

Same here. They also show all the dust on the floor :(

It's dark now so they look fine. Until 3pm tomorrow if it's sunny then I'll have to think about them again.
