I cooked some chicken thighs on Saturday and they've been kept in the fridge covered. Are they safe to eat tonight?

I wouldn't, I am conservative though.

I just googled it and it says 3-4 days if properly stored.

If they have been kept in the fridge then they will be ok but make sure to heat up properly and bin it if there is the slightest odd smell to it. You will know from the smell

I absolutely would if it has been stored in a fridge. I poach a checken in my Instant Pot on a Sunday, carve and store in fridge. Use it for lunches Monday to Thursday

I still use leftovers from the Sunday roast on Wednesdays and haven't had a problem. As long as they were properly cooked and chilled in the fridge quickly, it should be fine.

Redwinestillfine · 12/02/2019 12:19

Absolutely fine. Eat it all by tomorrow though.

RussellSprout · 12/02/2019 12:21

3 days is pushing it IMO

Sukochicha · 12/02/2019 12:59

Yes fine

Stylinit · 12/02/2019 13:09

Yes but I wouldn’t go past today personally.

Furrycushion · 12/02/2019 13:12

I would definitely

MinesaPinot · 12/02/2019 13:23

Yes fine.

If you don't have any immunity issues, then go ahead. I take much bigger risks although I always do the look, touch and smell tests and I'm fine. We didn't have a fridge growing up just a tiled floor pantry and we were always eating meals from leftovers.

I would. If I cook a chicken on sunday the last day I will eat it is Wednesday.
