Sorry, posting here for traffic.
I am trying to prepare my daughter for selective exams. We are applying to several schools and they all want different things. I am trying to figure out the difference between CAT/pre-test/11+. I looked at examples and V.R./NVR/maths look pretty similar. It says on GL website that CAT measures inane ability and therefore is a better selective tool compared to 11+. But questions look like bond practice test to me, I honestly can’t see how they are superior? And if they are, what is the best way to prepare?

The Education boards may be able to give more specific advice? The schools we applied to advised on the best practice booklets / past papers to work from.

Thank you Emma, one of the schools is going to give DC a Cat test, which they said is impossible to prepare for. I looked at some CAT tests and can’t see how it’s different to other 11+ exams...
