What's really annoyed you lately that probably doesn't deserve as much rage as you gave it?

Just a chit-chatty thread really.

There's a guy on my street that keeps scraping the ice off his car at 5am and waking me up. I mean im sure he's probably got to go to work etc but I always feel like shouting "for god sake its 5am get some de-icer!!!" Im a bit more rational once im up a hour later when my own alarm goes off 🙊

Getting a voicemail that simply says “call me when you get this”. This person is a repeat offender.

I would call back after seeing the missed call anyway. In my opinion if you’re making the effort to leave a voicemail at least give a brief explanation as to why you called e.g. “just called to ask if you want to go for a coffee tomorrow”

Getting annoyed thinking about it again!

I'm a Trustee of a small charity that runs arts activities for local kids. There is one Dad who sends us an e-mail after each event his child has been involved in with 'suggestions' of things that could be improved for next time. We rely on parent volunteers to run the events and he never ever volunteers to actually do anything. He also attends every AGM/parents meeting etc and dominates discussion with irrelevant details (eg where to buy biscuits for break time, what sort of biscuits are best etc) and criticisms.

He has been asking for about a year about how he could get to be a Trustee. A vacancy was announced last week and he has nominated himself, despite having none of the skills and experience that we have asked for. He has called me every day since the announcement to ask whether anyone else has applied and when he will hear. Despite having been told repeatedly that I don't have details of other applicants and that he will be informed after the deadline. He told me this morning that he is keen to get started asap and wants to move the next meeting forward so he can tell us his ideas for the future.

I'm not sure whether my annoyance is irrational or perfectly justifiable- it's up to him to apply and new blood/ideas are welcome but ffs just wait to hear. Plus I know that if he is appointed he'll never want to actually DO anything. And why (as the only female Trustee?) do you think I am the person to call with your questions and messages? And why should I waste my time answering questions that you could sort out yourself if you read the f ing letter you were sent.

A customer who sent me pics very early this morning of some cobwebs I missed yesterday.
In a room I have never been advised to go into and clean.
He suggested I visit specs savers!!
I suggested he replaced dodgy strip lights or I would need night vision goggles.

Notquite, do not let him be a trustee! Or if he is, you need to resign. How you haven't killed him is beyond me.😁
