I really need to get organised and I've bought myself a Filofax. its coming in a few days. I want to put my whole life in it. Where do I start. How do you organise yours. I've tried googling but the Instagram pics of Washi tape and beautiful writing is too much for me.

Hi!
I have just moved out of my Filofax and into a MAMBI happy planner, but I can quickly run through what was in my filo.
Dashboard at the front with sticky notes on it
Week on 2 pages for 3 months at a time
Then monthly dividers with day on 1 page for each month
Another dashboard
Notepaper

Hope this helps 😊

Cheeky follow.
I need a filo fax in my life! The phone calendar does nothing for me and I've got post it's everywhere.
So pricey though Shock

I also had a plastic wallet right at the back for stickers

Mines a bit all over the place.

I have the week to view and then I have a to do list page for that week. I also have the birthday pages split out so they start at the beginning of each month rather than all grouped together in a separate section. I have addresses at the end all grouped together tho.

Thanks for the suggestions. I sort of want all my xstuff in just one place and have a gazillion ideas but feel I might just end up with a file of random disorganized stuf.

mrsnolasco do you find your planner better than Filofax? How is it different?

Ah! My people!

I'm currently using a Passion Planner (and have a couple of blanks) - but when I'm done with those I'm going back to my trusty filofax. I have tried MAMBI and really tried to love it - but just couldn't. Even with the extender rings it was just "too big" and kept falling apart in my bag. With a couple of extension packs in it I could only have 3 months at a time - maybe it's better as a desk planner!

I take some time sat/sun to mark out my week and at the beginning of the month I note down all my bill dates so there aren't any banking surprises.

I learned some "calligraphy" tricks to make it look nicer and bought some nice pens - fine liners and coloured disposable fountain pens are my preferred. I've got stacks of washi tape but rarely use it. I do like a good sticker or 12. My favourites are these days free printables - there are a couple of FB groups for these.

In terms of writing things down "on the hop", I tend to just whack it all on a post-it and slap it on "next week" in no random order, then when I sit down properly at the weekend I either schedule it or park it for later.

ZigZagZombie passion planner? What is that? Sounds fab! Off to Google. Flips - I didn't realise there was so much more than just Filofax. Im kinda thinking I should have bought something else.

Same as any other planner! :D But with dedicated space for "future goals" iyswim.

Like I say, I'll probably go back to my filofax because it's just so versatile and I like that proper clasp - also, isn't there just something wonderful about leather? I bought it nearly 20 years ago and it still smells like leather. Bliss!

Gilmoreme Keep an eye out on TKMaxx as they often have filofax's for really good prices! I paid an extortionate amount when I got mine... made the mistake of going to a posh stationery shop.
