revoking being an executor

person A didn't get on with blood next of kin, ( big understatement!)made will stating nephew to be both executor and beneficiary , he doesn't want anything to do with it all, wants to revoke being executor, no one else to act,will the money now go to NOK ? thank you

Appoint a solicitor to act as executor. Problem solved

but who would solicitor decide is beneficiary..? nephew wants nothing to do with any of it!

Things could get complicated, safest to let solicitor work it out.
If nephew's on benefits and he refuses inheritance he might be accused of "voluntary deprivation of assets" and end up worse off.
